Heroes

We all have a favourite hero. Stories of justice, sacrifice, redemption, strength and character. Overcoming darkness and bringing hope to a broken planet. These themes resonate with us, because they all point to a greater story and a greater hero.

A quick scroll through Wikipedia or IMDB will give you a list of the most recent blockbuster super hero movies. However, there is also an ancient document filled with real stories about a very different set of ancient heroes. In the pages of the Bible we begin to discover accounts of individuals that lived out some pretty heroic narratives, stories that may hold more relevance to our lives today than we realise…
