Summer at The Forge

Over the summer some things at The Forge look a little different, you’ll find everything you need to know here!

20th July – No in person gatherings!

We’re unable to hire Debenham Community Centre on the 20th July due to a country and music festival. So instead, we’re encouraging you to gather in groups and watch a specially produced online service, streamed live right here on our website or on YouTube.

We’d love to see you tuning in! Why not snap a photo and tag us on Instagram @forgechurchuk? It’s a bit like COVID times — but just for one week, we promise.

The service will be streamed at 10:30am.

10:30 service only (4pm Online). Full Kids’ and youth provision on offer.

Join us for a morning with JB Gill, the multi-talented star who first rose to fame as a member of the chart-topping boyband JLS. With five number 1 singles, over 10 million records sold worldwide, and countless awards under his belt, JB knows what it’s like to perform on the biggest stages. More recently, he has wowed audiences on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, reaching the 2024 final, followed by a nationwide tour in early 2025.

But there’s so much more to JB than music and dance.

Over the past decade, JB has carved out a remarkable second career as a farmer in the Kent countryside, producing award-winning Kelly Bronze turkeys and free-range Tamworth pork. His passion for the land and educating children about where their food comes from shines through in his work as the lead presenter on CBeebies’ BAFTA-nominated series ‘Down On The Farm’, along with regular appearances on BBC’s ‘Countryfile’ and ‘Springwatch’.

As an ambassador for organisations including The Mayor’s Fund for London, The British Red Cross, and Mercy Ships, JB is committed to making a difference far beyond the stage.

At this special event, JB will be interviewed live, sharing fascinating stories about his time with JLS, his adventures in farming, his love of sport, and most importantly, how his Christian faith has become a very real and central part of his life.

Please note: JB does not perform musically during these evenings, but exclusive video clips from his career will be shown throughout the interview.

Subject to professional commitments.

Our event with JB Gill will mark the resumption of two morning services at 9am and 11am, which will continue for the foreseeable future.
