Operations Director
Salary: £30,000–£36,000 (depending on experience)
As The Forge Community Church continues to grow, so does the complexity of church life. From Sunday gatherings and events to finance, HR, safeguarding, IT, premises and governance, we’re looking for someone who can help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so that our mission can flourish.
We’re seeking an experienced Operations Director to provide strategic leadership across the operational life of the church. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys bringing clarity, structure and excellence to complex organisations, enabling others to focus on what matters most.
You’ll be responsible for developing effective systems, overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring the church meets its legal, financial and governance responsibilities. You’ll be a calm, collaborative leader who can think strategically while remaining highly practical.
You may have gained your experience in business, the charity sector, education, public service or another complex organisation. Whatever your background, you’ll have a proven track record of leading operations, managing people and turning vision into effective processes.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about seeing the local church thrive. You’ll be a committed Christian who shares our vision of helping people find and follow Jesus, and someone who enjoys serving as part of a healthy, collaborative leadership team.
